My Tunnels — Last updated: March 7, 2026
My Tunnels is built with privacy as a core principle. All your data stays on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or store any personal information on any server.
The app records the following GPS data when you enable location tracking:
This data is used solely to render your trail on the in-app map.
All GPS data is stored locally on your device using the operating system's built-in database (SwiftData on iOS). No data is transmitted to any server, cloud service, or third party.
The iOS version of My Tunnels uses no third-party SDKs, analytics, or tracking services. The app renders its own custom map and does not connect to any external mapping service.
The app uses background location access to continue recording your trail when the app is not in the foreground. This allows you to pocket your phone while walking, running, or cycling. Background location data is processed and stored identically to foreground data — entirely on your device.
We do not share any data with third parties. There are no analytics, no advertising, no crash reporting services, and no server-side components.
Your trail data is retained on your device until you choose to delete it. You can delete all data at any time by going to Settings > Clear All Data. Uninstalling the app also removes all stored data.
If you back up your device via iCloud or Finder, your trail data may be included in the backup. This is managed by Apple's backup system and is not controlled by our app.
My Tunnels does not knowingly collect personal information from children under the age of 13. The app does not require or request any personal information beyond GPS location data, which is stored locally.
